英文摘要Sampling of the Mysis relicta population of Lake Huron will be accomplished during this study. The samples will be taken on numerous stations on Lake Huron and will provide a baseline population estimate of the abundance and distribution of this important crustacean. The samples will be preserved in the field, enumerated in a Canadian laboratory, and the results provided to the scientific community as a report to the Environmental Protection Agency. With the loss of the crustacean, Diporiea, from Lake Huron, Mysis relicta populations may be reduced considerably as fish use them as a main food source.
