英文摘要A novel concept for gravity-wave parameterisation in atmospheric circulation models will be developed. It is based on the description of the entire wave field by the wave-energy density in physical and wavenumber space, and its prognostic computation by the radiative transfer equation. The proposed parameterisation will, for the first time, 1) include all relevant sources continuously in space and time and 2) accommodate all gravity waves sources (orography, fronts, and convection) in a single parameterisation framework. Moreover, the new scheme is formulated in a precisely energy preserving fashion.
