| 英文摘要 | ThenorthernmostmarginoftheNorthAmericancontinentisconstitutedbythePearyaterraneofEllesmereIsland.Thisremoteareaisdifficulttoaccessandthedevelopmentofthismarginsegmentispoorlyknown.RecentArcticexpeditionsoftheBGRprovidedtheopportunitytostudystructuralandgeomorphologicalpropertiesofPearyaandadjacentArcticareas,andtocollectadensesetofthermochronologicalsamples.Thermalhistorymodelsobtainedfrominitialapatitefissiontrackand(U-Th-Sm)/He(AFT&AHe)datasuggestthatPearyaexperiencedkm-scaleerosionsincetheEocene,andthattheareamayshareasimilarerosionhistorywithevenlessaccessableareasoftheCentralArcticandtheSiberianShelf.StudyingPearyawillthereforegiveinsightsintodynamicprocessesandeventsthatmayhavedominatedthepoorlyconstrainedCenozoictectonichistoryoftheArctic.ForthisstudyweaimtoapplydifferentthermochronologicaldatingmethodstorocksfromPearya.Fromthedata,weexpectthreemainresults:1)betterunderstandingtimingandextentoftheCenozoicEurekandeformationanditsrelationtootherareasoftheArctic;2)understandingtheinfluenceofcrustalinheritanceonintraplateorogeny,usingtheexampleoftheEurekanintraplateorogenacrossEllesmereIsland;3)betterconstrainingtheefficiencyofglacialerosionintectonicallyinactivelandscapes,aswellastheroleoflithologycontrastsforerosionefficiency.Thus,ourstudywillprovidenewinsightsintotheCenozoicplatetectonicevolutionoftheArcticrealmaswellasongeneralprocessesgoverningtheerosionofmountainbelts. |
