英文摘要Thefrequencyandmagnitudeofhydrologicalextremeeventsaresuspectedtobetriggeredbyclimatechange.HighelevationAlpinecatchmentsareparticularlysensitiveareas,sinceinthisregionthehydrosphereishighlyaffectedbytemperatureandprecipitationchanges.Moreover,thestronginterconnectionbetweenhydrologyandtheothercomponentsofthegeosysteminhighelevationcatchmentsrequiresadetaileddescriptionofhydrologicalprocessesintheseareasandhencejustifiesthepresenceofthissubprojectintheSEHAG(SensitivityofhighAlpinegeosystemstoclimatechangesince1850)frameworkproposalfortheestablishmentofaresearchunit.Thenoveltyoftheproposedresearchlaysintheinvestigationofchangesoccurredinthehydrospherebetween1850and2050andhowtheyareconnectedwiththebehaviorofthedifferentcomponentsofthehighAlpinegeosystem.Inparticular,wewillperformarigoroustimeseriesanalysistoinvestigateiftheobservedclimaticchangeshaveaffectedthereturnperiodofextremeeventsandimpactedhydrologicalprocesses(e.g.temporaldistributionofprecipitationeventsduringtheyearandthetimingforglacierandsnowmelt).Moreover,wewanttoverifyifitispossibletoimprovehydrologicalmodelinginhighelevationAlpinecatchmentstoreproducepastandfuturehydrologicalconditionsthroughmulti-objectivemodelcalibration.Datacollectedinarchiveswillbeaprecioussourceofdatatoinformthemodelaboutpastconditionsofthecatchment.Moreover,thecollaborationwiththeothersub-projectswillallowustocalibratethehydrologicalmodelconsideringbothdischarge,permafrost,snowandglaciermeasurementsandtheexperimentalactivitiesperformedduringprojectwillallowustoextendthemulti-objectivemodelcalibrationalsotoothervariablesthansnowwaterequivalentandglaciercoveredarea,suchasstreamflowelectricalconductivityandstreamwatertemperature.Theresultsofawellcalibratedhydrologicalmodel,forwhichtheuncertaintywillbeproperlyquantified,willbethenusedbytheothersubprojectstohelpinterpretingotherchangesoccurredinthegeosystem.
