英文摘要Inthisproposal,wedesignconstructionsofrate-compatiblefamiliesofcodesbasedonpuncturingpolarcodes.Toovercomethelengthrestrictionsimposedbytheirstandardconstruction,weexplorethreenovelapproachesstrivingforoptimalsolutions,aswellasdevisingefficientheuristics.Facilitatingalow-complexityencoderanddecoderstructureisadesigngoalofparamountinterest,enablingcompetitiveperformanceinlatency-constrainedenvironments.Applicationsforthefamiliesofcodesconstructedinthisproposalarefoundinrelayscenarios,aswellashybridARQschemeswithincrementalredundancy(HARQ-IRschemes).Intheiroriginaldesign,possibleblocklengthsofpolarcodesarelimitedtointegerpowersofthedimensionunderlyingpolarizationkernel.Asaresult,itisnon-trivialtoadapttheirlengthsmoreflexibly.Onepromisingwaytodosoisgivenbypuncturing.Inordertoconstructrate-compatiblecodefamiliesbasedonpuncturingpolarcodes,thepuncturingpatternshavetosatisfycertainnestingconstraints,hencenecessitatingdevelopmentofmethodstoaccomodatefortheseadditionalconstraints.Asafirststep,ajointoptimizationstrategybasedonexploitingstructuralpropertiesofpuncturingpatternsisproposed,attemptingoptimalconstructionofpuncturedpolarcodesbyjointlyoptimizingtheindexsetandthepuncturingpattern.Furthermore,exploringefficientheurisitcsfortheconstructionofrate-compatiblecodefamiliesbasedonpuncturingpolarcodes,twonovelpuncturingapproachesareinvestigated,incorporatingtheaformentionedconstraintsofnestedpuncturingpatterns.Thefirstapproachisbasedonalgebraicdecompositionsofthepolarcodegeneratormatrix,whilethesecondadaptsthepromisingtechniqueofquasi-uniformpuncturing.Twointersectionaltaskshelptoadvancethesefindingsbyimprovingtheperformanceoftheresultingcodeconstructions.Thefirstaimsatenhancingerrorcorrectioncapabilitiesbyassistingdecodersviaadditionalconstraints,givenbydynamicfrozensymbols.Thesecondexploresatechniquetoimprovethequalityoftheindexsetselectionviaintegerlinearprogramming.Finally,webuildonourexistingresearchinthetheoryofrelayingsystems.Astheseresultsassumeperfectadaptibilityofcoderatesviaadaptingthelengthofthecodes,relayingscenariosprovideapplicationdomainsforrate-compatiblecodefamiliesofparamountinterest.Asasecondapplicationdomain,weexploretheperformanceoftherate-compatiblecodefamiliesdevelopedinHARQ-IRschemes.
