英文摘要Zero -degree isotherm is a regular part of the weather forecast in the Alpine region and an interesting part of our daily routine. Over long climatological periods, the zerodegree isotherm is of great importance for the water cycle and the habitats of people, animals, and plants. Among other things, this is because the snow line and the zerodegree isotherm are connected. The zerodegree isotherm plays a very important role for trees and grasses, as it is a crucial limit for the advance of vegetation. If the zero -degree isotherm rises, this indicates that trees and grass can advance to higher altitudes. As a result, the previously largely pollenpoor Alpine regions are also becoming regions with a moderate pollen load. This can be clearly shown using the pollen data from the high mountain valley of Davos. Overall, the shift of the zero -degree isotherm leads to increased pollen exposure via a higher tree line.
