英文摘要 | Human activities and climate change have led to increased flooding in cities. Various factors affect the flood risk function. This study analyzed human and hydrological factors causing floods in Kalat City, Iran. For this purpose, we investigated the effects of precipitation and land-use change on increasing runoff peak discharge as two important factors intensifying the flood risk function. HEC-RAS software was applied to analyze the flood zone in this study area, and we analyzed the effect of roughness on the flooded area with various management approaches. Questionnaires were designed based on a five-point Likert scale and were prepared to discover the most important influencing factors in the severity of flooding in this area. The results demonstrated that variations in Curve Number (CN) have a much greater effect on peak discharge rate than the effect of precipitation changes. Furthermore, our results show that implementing management programs to control roughness and permeability can reduce flood zones in some sub-basins. The questionnaire analysis illustrated that the most important variables inside the city that exacerbate the incidence of floods in Kalat are local people's activities, and management factors. We realized that due to the many flood occurrences, the reduction of collective memory does not affect people suffering from floods. As a result, our studies show that people are used to floods in this city, and flood damage has become habitual. Therefore, to reduce the risk of flooding in this area, it is suggested to reduce the exposure by legislation and restoration of pastures. |
