英文摘要For more than two decades, the Peruvian university has claimed to be involved in issues of climate change and sustainability. Regarding both, in young university students, elementary topics were addressed with the aim of analyzing their perceptions and attitudes. In 2022, a survey was carried out on 53 first -year university students at a Peruvian university, whose ages ranged from 17 to 35 years. The findings showed a weak understanding of the different aspects related to climate change. Regarding attitudes, a predisposition was found for those actions that they considered relevant to deal with it. In order to equip young students with knowledge, all teachers must be trained so that they learn to energize with this topic in each of their disciplines, favoring the interdisciplinary approach. It is unavoidable to reformulate the proposals that the university promotes to materialize them in explicit actions that are effectively sustainable.
