| 英文摘要 | The Tibetan grimoire is a genre of writing linked to the profession of Tibetan lamas, and one that, until now, has attracted little attention from scholars. One of the main difficulties with undertaking further research on such works has remained the proprietary aspect of closely guarded trade secrets of occult lore. A few samples of Tibetan Buddhist manuals of spells have been published, but no such collection has come down to us from the Bon tradition until now. This contribution analyses the content of such a collection of miscellaneous spells that once belonged to a late anonymous Bonpo master from eastern Tibet. The article seeks to discern the main concerns of the patrons in search of help from these religious practitioners, who offered magical solutions to problems of everyday life. |
