英文摘要In this paper, a frozen soil rate dependent model with time related parabolic strength envelope (PSE) is proposed. After incorporating the time related PSE into the original rate dependent model, slope of the PSE is time and stress state dependent. A numerical bisection method is used to calculate the intersection of the PSE and yield surface, which is a key variable for determining plastic potential function. With this modification, the shape of the yield surface of the proposed model shows different development tendency from that of constant straight strength envelope. Through comparing the calculated and tested results, it is indicated that the mechanical behavior of the tested sand under different confining pressures and strain rates can be described reasonably by the proposed model.
