英文摘要 | In the Paris Agreement the international community pledged in 2015 to limit the rise in average global temperature to significantly less than 2°C. This resulted in ambitious climate targets if climate neutrality in combination with decarbonization of the economy is to be achieved by 2050. The development of new climate-friendly technologies basically requires dependable CO2 prices and the guarantee of effective protection against carbon leakage. Rapid implementation of a reliable and low-CO2 mode of concrete construction is needed for any further improvement in climate protection in concrete construction. Greater diversification in concrete production facilitates increased usage of clinker-efficient cements. It can be expected that there will be increased requests for the ecobalances of building materials and structures. Carbonation of concrete is to be considered as a CO2 sink in the national and international (UNFCCC) CO2 coverage and in the preparation of ecobalances. Conventional CO2 abatement options in cement production must be supplemented by publically sponsored "breakthrough technologies',' e.g. for the capture of process emissions. Institutional investors are paying increasing attention to a company's score with respect to the business involvement with greenhouse gases and the risks of climate change. © 2020 Verlag Bau und Technik GmbH.
