英文摘要 | This study examined the growth-environment nexus in the Philippines to know if economic growth may help reduce CO2 emissions. Results suggest that it is possible if the country reaches a threshold income of around 2,904 billion (in constant 2010 US). Given the need to peak the country's emissions to promote economic growth, policy makers might consider diversifying the Philippines' current energy portfolio with cleaner options. Energy efficiency policies are also a way to decrease CO2 emissions without limiting economic growth. IEEE. |
