英文摘要The spread of behaviours through animal social networks have often been considered as ‘simple contagions’. However, research across other disciplines now provides substantial grounding for the ‘complex contagion’ of behaviours. The study of animal behaviour could benefit greatly from generally expanding to incorporate these new insights. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd
