英文摘要	The age and chronology of Late Holocene moraines and glacial events in the Suntar-Khayata Ridge have been estimated using lichenometry and Schmidt Hammer Test. The study has shown that the distinct outer belt of moraines located 600-700 m beyond the modern termini of Glaciers 31 and 29 was formed during the Little Ice Age. Glaciers attained their maximum extent during the period of global cooling from the 11th to 15th centuries. The glaciation area was 35-40 % larger than today. Glaciers had kept a relatively stable position until the middle of the 19th century, and then began to recede slowly. By the middle of the 20th century they had decreased by 5-7 % in size. The most rapid retreat began in the second half of the 20th century.
