英文摘要 | Despite of the presence of large drift sand sites, the northern taiga areas of Western Siberia are currently experiencing a decrease in deflation processes and increase in self-regeneration of the vegetation cover. This paper discusses the drivers of the formation of sand arenas and analyzes the nature of changes in climatic conditions in the Nadym River downstream area. The results of interpretation of space images made at different times and field observations data allow assessing the vegetation cover and dune microrelief dynamics within the bounds of natural deflation basins widely developed in the study area. The particular characteristics and mechanisms of revegetation are demonstrated by the example of a model deflation basin. |
