英文摘要	Spatial and temporal, including annual, variations in thermal resistance of snow cover on the territory of Russia for the period from 2001 to 2010 have been studied and mapped on the base of snow survey data. Longterm mean values of snow cover thermal resistance and freezing indexes for this period have been compared with the respective values for 1966-2000. Influence of the thermal resistance of snow cover on the thermal stability of permafrost has been revealed and areas with favorable and unfavorable conditions for permafrost preservation have been identified.
