The latest issue of the Carbon Mechanisms Review titled "The Silent Heaters" focuses on non-CO2 greenhouse gases: Besides refrigerants, which often have a climate impact hundreds or thousands of times greater than CO2, the current issue deals with emissions from fertilisers and the still often underestimated role of methane, which is responsible for as much as 30 per cent of the man-made temperature rise to date. The authors explain what the international carbon market can contribute to solving these problems, what obstacles there are, and how they can be overcome.
